Principles for Delegation and Administration of ccTLDs Presented by Governmental Advisory Committee (23 February 2000)
1. PREAMBLE

On July 29, 2009 Mr. Igor Chudinov, Prime-Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic signed the Resolution on Realization of the Decree of the Kyrgyz Republic President “On Organization of the National Domain names System Functioning”.
In accordance with the Decree of President of the Kyrgyz Republic “On Organization of the National Domain names System Functioning” of April 7, 2009, the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic hereby provides:
1. To establish the Administration Center of the Domain zone “KG” under the State Patent Service of the Kyrgyz Republic.

Internet founders and leaders are joining industry executives and government officials in praising the selection of Rod Beckstrom as the new Chief Executive Officer and President of the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN).

Today, on June 10 the Protocol of Intentions on the redelegation of administration functions of the KG ccTLD was signed between the State Patent Service of the Kyrgyz Republic and the AsiaInfo Company.
Conclusion of this joint Protocol is the next important step forward in the process of redelegation of administration functions of the KG ccTLD from the private AsiaInfo Company to the state body.

The State Patent Service of the Kyrgyz Republic (Kyrgyzpatent) confirms that the complete mutual understanding has been achieved between Kyrgyzpatent and AsiaInfo Company regarding redelegation of the right to administer the “KG” ccTLD.
In the official notification of May 23, 2009, addressed to Kyrgyzpatent, the AsiaInfo officials acknowledged their readiness to transfer the right to administer the “KG” ccTLD to Kyrgyzpatent according to the Decree of President No 192 of April 7, 2009 “On functioning of the National Domain Zone”.
